Question #1:

Could you tell me how Homeopathy works?

How do you find a right "remedy" to begin with treating certain disease and conditions? I went to a Homeopathy doctor for my anxiety and depression. It did not do anything..... then much later I tried NAET along with homeopathy to cure my allergy under a Chiropractor. Again, it did not do ANYTHING! But still tons of people are practicing and getting any if at all, result ? how this can be?

Question #2:

How to tell if I have diabetes?

I'm exhibiting some of the symptoms of diabetes, but others seem amazingly far off, so I'm wondering what to make of it.

I drink a lot. However, this is mostly intentional because I'm trying to drink the recommended 8 cups / day. Also, because it's summer, I've been eating lots of salty foods, and I biked quite a bit today, I've drunken quite a bit more.

I urinate a lot. See the drinking one.

Blurry vision. Only in one eye, which is also the eye that gets incredibly itchy over the course of the day (this has been going on for a while. I'm guessing it's just allergies). It's most noticeable when I'm tired (been staying up late)

Dryness/Itchiness. My skin has been dry, but only after I wash it with soap (and only on my face). Scalp has been rather itchy, but I think it might've been a mild allergic reaction to canned salmon, because it only happened a few times (around the times when I ate canned salmon).

This is my problem; I have explanations for each thing, but it still looks worrisome (the blurry vision in one eye bothers me most. It's not like there's a film, it just seem like there's a little "eye goop" over part of my eye. If I look directly through the "blurry" part, it's no longer noticeable.)
As I said, each thing has an explanation. I believe I've listed each one. The remedies are helpful, however.

Either way, I'm going to get a blood test. I'm 16, but I don't think there's a history of diabetes in the family, so neither type 1 nor 2 is likely. My doctor ordered a test because I was losing weight (I regained it. I think it was just because I didn't eat much when the food was expensive, combined with... "adult exercise", I lost just over 5 pounds.

Question #3:

what do you think of this poem?

well if you read this all you might get something out of it. I dont think many will read it but give me an honest answer of what you think.

Spoken words but why bother? Hindered while I sit as I watch. No one knows, No one knows, atleast thats what we hope. How can you sit there knowing all hope is gone. Losing hope is easy, when your all alone, along the road your on, singing the same old songs.

First 5 years of life, theres no words spoken, lucid memories combined with acid contents so much it impales ones hope into believing it was all good. Age 6 was the begining of what he noticed was, "Don't do that", they yelled. Noticed was what he had been here for. Entered a building where pedophile would feel right at home. How can anyone agrue on behalf of a pedo? Insanity causes different reactions, sort of like allergies. Old folks crowded the building for thats their purpose. While we try to fathom what it is their saying to us. Condemed with thoughts of burns, books surely provide that "factor" in this equation. Mercy on the math greeks who can solve a difficult questionnaire but cannot question the unethical answers to the unsolved mysteries which can commonly be called "Life"
Sorry but this is going to be in a novel im writing but Im thinking about just leaving it as a poem.
i appreciate all the reviews, both negative and positive. Im not going to touch it up though because this is a semiautobiographical novel i am writing.
Much love to the people who did like it though, thanks ;D

Question #5:

Is this a wheat allergy? (Pictures..)?

I rarely get this.

Yesterday I had a pizza/donut/breadsticks binging day.

I ended up with this rash the next morning. I haven't eaten bread in a few weeks, the last time I had pizza it was in between my thighs. It's always on my thighs, arms, or chest.

After I realized my son had a wheat allergy I started questioning whether I had the same or not, but I really hope not because I love subway.

Question #6:

should i take my rat to the vet?

just today my rat started sneezing, i read other things and cant decide if its an infection or just allergy, his nose is a little wet, no difference in breathing from either his nose or his chest, he has some spurts of sneezing where he does like 4 in a row, sometimes just 1 at a time. till today he has not done it once. should i just keep and eye on him or should i take him to the vet immediately?
i should mention i just started giving him a new treat(jam), if this is bad for him i will stop immediately i looked everywhere online and did not find it as a harmful food for rats, i changed his bedding yesterday(its the eco bedding) it isn't new. i have only had him for a week though, which is why i am not completely sure. the last piece of info i forgot to add, was he explored my room more than before(a lot more) so it could be some dust that he picked up. until now fans have been running in my room but that has not affected him from what i've seen. if i do need to take him to a vet i can do so instantly (there is a vet right across the street from me.

Question #10:

Not prednisolone, they are the substance I am allergic to.

Question #11:

I don't know what to do about my two year old son? (long)?

My son just turned 2 on June 8th. I also have a 4 year old daughter and a 10 month old daughter and I am about 22 weeks pregnant.

When my son was born, they had to break his clavical bone for him to fit through the birth canal. He also had an umbilical hernia. He was a miserable baby and cried all the time, at 3 months old it was discovered he had a milk protein allergy and I had to stop breastfeeding and put him on Similac Alimentum. (YUCK)

For the first year of his life I was in a huge depression because he was so miserable. Somehow, I survived his first year and I thought that things were going to get better.

Now two years into it, I am exhausted with him. He doesn't nap during the day, at night he'll fall asleep but only in my arms or right next to me and usually within 3 hours he wakes up screaming like someone is killing him. He flails about and throws his body and I get scared he is going to end up hurt so I hold him which only seems to make it worse. He screams like that for about 2 hours. It doesn't seem like he is even awake or aware that I am there.

All day long I am chasing him, he climbs the kitchen counters and turns on the sinks spilling water every where, he won't keep clothes on, he bites and scratches and hits all of us.

I feel like I am not being fair to my other children who get less attention because I am so busy with him. I can't figure out how to help him. I am worried there is something wrong with him. Does anyone have any similar experiences?

Also, he eats very little. I offer him stuff all the time and I'd be surprised if what he ate all day totaled one cup! So I was thinking maybe he was like this cause he's hungry but occasionally when he does eat well he still has these episodes at night. If for whatever reason he does fall asleep during they day for a nap, he will be up until 11 or 12 that night.

He is exhausting me and my husband and I are always fighting about this, I am moody all the time and its effecting my other children. Sometimes I feel like signing over my rights to him.

Question #14:

what are these strange bumps on me?

well to start out im 13 years old. i have bad allergies to a lot of things (animal fur, pineapple, dust, and prolly a lot more). i had a rash on the shin part of both legs a little while ago and the doctor said it was prolly a sweatrash from my shinpads (soccer) or it was egzima. that doesnt rly have anything kto do with whats happening now but i thought id just nmention that.
so lately ive been noticing weird red, puffy, skin peeley bumps on me. it started with 2 small bumps on one of my upper thighs. i picked at them both and squeezed them and then the next day they were all big and puffy. i notice the skin around them peel a lot but some days are better than others. they are about the size of a quarter and really red and puffy too. they start pussing a lot randomly also. then i noticed i started getting a small bump on my arm. one day i accidentally scratched it and now the same thing is happening.
what is this? just my allergies or something else? should a doctor look at it, especially if i start to see more?
any other advice would be good too.

p.s. the ones on my legs have been there about a month and they are not getting any smaller.

Question #15:

I deprived myself of fats for years, started eating them again. Complications. Help?

I haven't really eaten fats the last few years, and have actually made every effort not to. I've recently started eating more fats and have started experiencing headaches, among other symptoms. I'm wondering if the fats are what are causing these issues, or if it is more likely to be some sort of weird allergy. Have I messed with my ability to digest fats, essentially?

Question #17:

Allergic to fruits and vegetables?

I'm 14 years old, and ever since I was little, I've been allergic to fruits and vegetables. Why is that?

Until now, I've never questioned why my mouth would start itching, or why everything would get swollen when I eat a certain fruit or vegetable. I just accepted it as the way I am.

This is kinda of weird, but I'm allergic to all fruits and vegetables with seeds in them. One time I ate an orange with seeds and my mouth got swollen so bad. Another time, I ate an orange without seeds and I was perfectly okay. The only exception is watermelons. My aunt used to force me to eat watermelons 24/7 thinking that would help my allergy. And it actually did! =]

As for vegetables, its only avocado and carrots. I'm highly allergic to carrots. It was a terrible experience after eating it.

I'm not allergic to any kind of fruit beverages. Its just those fresh fruits.
Why is this? Is there any way to get rid of this? Because I would love to just eat any fruit out there without having to worry about everything.
yes, carrots in cans are okay for me. and oh yeah. i'm allergic to some nuts. pistachios and almonds are the only ones i know of so far. macadamia nuts are okay though. no reactions to it.

Question #18:

Best way to wean baby off bottle?

Sorry in advance for the length!

My son is now a year old. There was so much debate with my pediatrician about what we were doing with keeping my son on formula for another six months (he has a severe milk allergy). We decided on Soy milk but then WIC won't provide my son with that (don't judge me for being on WIC please, I'm asking for advice here). The WIC nutritionist wanted to put my son on Soy formula for another six months until he gets tested for his allergy again. My pediatrician said that since we were debating with that anyways, we would stick with the soy formula and wean him off of his alimentum (the hypoallergenic formula).

So, right now we are trying to wean him off Alimentum (he doesn't mind the taste of that and he hates the taste of soy). But also, she wants him off of his bottle within the next month if we can (I assumed he'd stay on the bottle until he was off the formula, she wants to get him to drink it out of a sippy).

So, what's the best way to wean off of a bottle and onto a sippy?
thank you for the actual answer danielle, and really others- need to be rude?

Question #20:

This is kind of embarrassing but...(girls only)?

Hey well I'm 15 and female. I've had these spots on my leg, which spread to my left arm pit and now my right one and like down my arm, now I have just noticed one on my leg there just like red with a white head in :S I have had chicken pox so it's not that, and change my bed sheets every week. I just researched on the internet and they sound like hives spots, it says it will clear itself if not go to the doctors, they are the result of an allergy or stress. I have been stressed and depressed for the past 9 months, could that be the cause? Should I go to the doctors about this or will it be wasting their time? Also I havent had a period since Decmber :S I only started last August, and I'm not pregnant. Is that worth mentioning at the doctors? I am still stressed and that but is it worth going to the doctors??
Sorry it's abit long, but thanks for any answersm : ) xxx
