What do y'all think of my short story?

I'm writing a blog and I want some input:

Confessions of Riley Clarieson


So it had been almost 3 years with Travis. Every girl wants a bad boy and trust me he was hers. He fit the mold perfectly. He was just your average guitar playing, and skate boarding guy. However he was very immature, and selfish. At this point Riley had learned to live with Travis’ personality and she truly loved him. Now if could just learn to control her urges for the "others".
There was Daniel this 38 year old guy she worked with, Eric her ex, and Jason her first ever crush.
Yes it sounds selfish to like all of these guys but regardless they all danced in her head daily.
Out of all the guys Daniel would be the worst one for her but he was the one she cared about the most (other than Travis)…..
She sat there at work listening to her Ipod as she watched Daniel out of the corner of her eyes as he walked back and forth to his Managers office. Yes Daniel definitely made working in a Chevrolet dealership fun. As she looked at Daniel once more she thought to herself “Oh the things I wished I could do to him”. Something about her made her crave his touch. She had him once. Way back when she had first started her current job. She may have forgotten to mention she was under age at the time. It was just a harmless “quickie”. What a “quickie” that was though. I’m sure his desk had never seen action like that. Never in her wildest dream did she ever think she would have her pants pull down, sitting on top of Daniel’s desk being F-ed senseless. It was a good thing that no one else was in the building or his and her loud screams would have been heard I’m sure. She didn’t know if it was the fact that she was underage or the rush of having worked sex but WOW.
Her fiancée knew about it. It happened while they were broken up. She wished at times that she could visit the moment in time just once more. "Mmmmm" she thought to herself as she thought to herself as she glanced over to his desk. Travis was a sex addict but weirdly their whole relationship they hadn’t had a “ton” of sex. Sometimes Travis acted funny. It made Riley question him. She told train of thought as Daniel walked by. He liked to play Riley. One minute he would make her feel like he wanted her and other time he would make her feel like she didn't exist in his world. Much like every guy had ever done to her. She wondered sometimes why she liked Daniel. He wasn't the cutest guy in the world or the smartest. He had power over her that she just couldn't stop.


(That is a rough version. I know I need to clean up the grammar and what not.)

Riley is a 19 year old girl her is engaged and also caught between 4 guys. The part when she's talking about Daniel is supposed to have more details but I want to keep this clean.

(There's alot more to it but this is like the first page.)

Question #2:

My dad is cheap and my mom hates it?

It's going to be hard for me to keep this short, but I'll try my best! D:

My dad is cheap. Hates spending money. I have a mom and a dad (obviously from the title) and two brothers a few years younger than me. I'm 19 and in college. As a family, we have plenty of money. More than enough. However, not much of it gets spend. Our home is bought and not rented. We have 3 cars that are bought and not rented.

Our bathroom has been sitting unused and empty for over 2 years. It developed mould over time and obviously, a mouldy bathroom isn't a healthy thing. My dad did plan on fixing it himself (to avoid paying a company to do it), but it was too much for him and it's been sitting unused as I said. This among other unfixed problems our older house has is driving my mom crazy!

There's 3 general accounts of money in my family. Mine, my mom's (she recently got money from my granny when she sold her house) and my mom and dad's joint account. My dad doesn't mind spending my mom's money. He frequently takes money out to pay credit card bills and other things. But, he won't touch the joint account. And, my mom doesn't touch it either. My dad has divided it into various sections and each section can only be opened after a certain amount of time. I'm not sure how it works, so hopefully that makes sense. My mom says that he needs to get someone to fix the bathroom. My dad says that she can get someone to do it herself. She says that she's not using the money from her mom because she wants to buy a summer cabin or buy an apartment to invest in. She says she wants to use the joint account money and that's when my dad storms off.

It's getting really annoying. It's such a simple issue as well. We need the bathroom fixed, so get someone to fix the bathroom! It needs to be done eventually! But, my dad won't use his precious money that he's saving for no good reason.

Not only is it just the bathroom situation, but it's everything. He won't go on vacations. If we go, it's my mom and I along with my brothers. It's too much money for him. If he had a choice, we would sit at home, drink beer and watch tv rather than travel or shop or whatever.

I don't know what to do. I'm sick of the arguing and I hate telling my mom that she's right about my dad being cheap and stubborn, but she is! I just need some advice, I guess...

Question #3:

will my dog be okay? he ate..?

My puppy got into a batch of my best chocolate chip raisin macademia nut cookies. He ate all of them. Oh and they were kind of old and had some mold on them. He seems okay but i worry that was too much sugar for him.

Question #4:

Can I re-pot this plant? (pic included)?

Am hoping someone with a little indoor plant knowledge can help me. I was given this plant by a friend. It seems to planted in some round balls, without dirt. The balls on the surface have some white mold (?) which doesnt seem to be hurting the plant but is ugly to look at. See here:

Is there any way I can re-pot this plant with regular dirt? If so, what kind of dirt would I buy? Will it hurt the roots to take the balls out, or should I leave them in or what? Any advice would be great, thanks.

Question #5:

Umm...how bad is it for my health to have mold in my room?

Yeah...so I was cleaning my room and on my shelf of my bed frame near the corner there was a vitamin water bottle ,it had no cap and it's covered in mold! The water is, will I get sick from that being in my room and so close to me? This is how much was in it : Click Here

Is that enough to make me sick since there was no cap on it? Do I need to get checked out or anything? I'm at college, don't have medical insurance but I could go to a clinic.
What do I do with it! I don't know where to put this now??? What how do I get rid of it?

Question #7:

How can I salvage a burnt clay mold?

I had a clay mold made of my cat's pawprint just before she died. When it was baked, the oven malfunctioned and burnt it to a crisp. I'm talking flames and it looks like charcoal. Her pawprint is still visible in the burnt clay though. How can I make a mold of this so that I can try to make another one? (I am NOT a crafty person but it has to be possible!) Maybe a rubber or liquid vinyl coating? Then peel that way and use that as a mold for new clay or some other substance that would be good for making a plaque-type thing?

Ok , so this leakage from the bathroom pipes , the water coming ...through the foundation all month, and has b?

this leakage ongoing , gushes of flood coming from the pipes underneath, after writting my formal complaint, & to the Atty. Gen. will those women at this managment slander me to the new apt. management ? I don't feel safe while I am here. Im concerned about the mold. Is there a place that I can call for a fair inspection or can the city help me? I have taken pictures. Thank you.

Can you interpret this poem?

This is a poem I made up and I wonder how other people interpret it.

The little boy name Loo
Was too bad to be true.
He takes a form of clay.
Where his mother got him made.

As he got mould, he grew bad.
and his mother was, very very sad.
But it was not his fault.
It was his mothers, it had been told.

The once, innocent form of clay.
was already starting to fade.
As mother's hand are moving more.
Loo's inside beauty began to tore.

Alas, Loo's Mum began to weep.
As little Loo made a giant leap.
Going further more and more.
To the darkest of his his inner core.

Loo's mother tried to shape him back.
But the clay was hardened so it cracked.
There she stood, side by side.
Next to her son, who had died.

There is a meaning in this poem and I wonder if you could pick it up.

Question #10:

How to remove mould from carpets?

I think my son peed on the floor a while ago - he blame is on a spilt juice and it didnt smell of pee so i just rubbed it try - i suspect he did throw juiceon it to cover it up!

Anywhere, we now used this part of the floor for storage (we moved his room around and the bed is above this patch now)

We have noticed things that are on this part going mouldy. First his shoes which i bleached and washed and seem ok now then I put a fabric shopper bag with things in it there which become mouldy quickly.

I cant see anything on the carpet but there is obvsiouly a problem. It's just this part of the carpet.

Does anyone have any tips on how to resolve this?

Do you think Religion was one of the things that helped shape us and bring us where we are today?

I just asked a question on how different the world would be without Religion ENTIRELY and without any beliefs in God(s) or Goddesses.

It got me thinking----what if we got as far as we are today because of Religion? I'm not saying that Theists brought us forward as a race or anything, in fact; some of the things that most Theists say or believe actually hold us BACK if anything. But do you think Religion played a role (big or small) in how we turned out today as a society/race? Do you think it shaped/molded us as a whole into what we have become?

Ok, complicated situation, and please, no standard answers, I know from the beginning I should have received the promise in writing so please don't be condescending. I know now what I should have done, but please help with what I can do now.

Me and my three room mates rented a house near our college. With-in walking distance. We signed the lease under their promises that all problems would be fixed. Yes we saw the house, Yes we knew it was in bad shape. But the company led us to believe that all major problems would be fixed. When we moved in they told us the contractor and landlord had 30 days to make all the fixes and not to worry. Today was the 30th day and nothing has been done. We informed them as instructed when we moved in of the problems (IN WRITING) and they have not even pretended to address our problems. The major problems we listed... are...

1)The locks, It took them three weeks to get us keys and new locks to our house. During that time frame the former tenants entered our house uninvited late one night. drunk (with their old keys)
2) The HVAC unit needs servicing, it barely works. How could we have known this before we moved in?
3)Hot water heater barely works, again, how could we have known this?
4)1 of 2 bathrooms is completely unfit for use. Wallpaper peeling from walls, large holes everywhere, walls are caving in (water damage) and we have confirmed mold. It is disgusting and no respectable person would feel comfortable using it.
5) Carpet is in bad shape, holes,stains, water damage everywhere and a FOUL SMELL!
6) Stove unit is old, handle is missing from door. Handle cannot be replaced because its so old. We can't use the oven safely for this.

These are the high priority items (there are many many others but not high priority) We were instructed to complete a move in form and provide company in writing of problems. We did as we were told. They told us to give them 30 days, We did.

When we signed the lease they told us specifically not to worry about anything, The bathroom would be fixed, the carpet would be replaced. We took them at their word, now we're here, all the problems are too and they are refusing to fix it. Saying they inspected the house and fixed what they thought was necessary. this is obviously a lie.

Do we have any rights to cancel our lease? Do I have any rights at all? especially with the bathroom, is this a health violation. The kitchen, I can't cook! The flooring, It smells horrid. the locks were unsecured, but are now? What can I do. I am a college student, don't want to sue them, I don't have time. All we want is out of our contract and deposit back. What can I do now. The landlord and manager keep avoiding us. won't talk to us or anything. They lied to us from day 1. Can a health inspector evict us and terminate our lease? can the house be condemned? Can the landlord have repercussions for interfering with our lives. Inconveniencing us and possibly putting our health at risk? How can I make their life hell. They rent to 95% college students so I see their not wanting to fix something because they think we will just destroy it again, But were not drunk partying freshman. We are here to finish our degrees. We are serious.

Yes I know we screwed up, but we didn't know and took them at their promises. They lied to us. (on numerous occasions. You live you learn. Please don't tell me what I should have done.

Please help me with what I can do now.

Question #15:

Plugging a crack in a standing shower?

I have a standing shower with leveling issues and it's cracked along the base where it meets the wall. This crack allows water to run into the wall and out onto the floor. It's caused some serious mold damage in the wall that it leaks into.

I caulked the corners and that held for a couple of days, but at one corner, the water collects, and it has begun to degrade the caulk.

What are my other options for sealing this up?
The floor is made of tile and concrete.

how do i get rid of the dry mold odour in my house?

i had a problem with damp in my apartment due to poor circulation which i managed to get rid of....but recently i went out for a couple of days and when i come back i could really smell mold in my house...its pretty much every room and i cant see any marks or anything to where it might be, i never really noticed it before is there any way i can get rid of the smell? i have also been getting chest congestion in the mornings could this be related??

I just registered and today I found out that I have a major mold issue that is the responsibility of the POA and they are going to fight this. So this is going to end up a legal battle. I feel as though I should withdraw from class until I am more settled? What do you think?? BTW I will have to move again! I am so tired and overwhelmed..
SO, do you think I should hold off on school until my life is more settled?

Question #20:

Straw cup question...?

Are straw cups meant to be replaced every few months? The straws and valves seem to get mold in them no matter how well I clean, whether by dishwasher or by hand (or both). I don't want to use the take-n-toss kind though, because they don't have covers so can't travel in the diaper bag.
Does this happen to you?
